Safety First
At Trans-Utility, Inc., every project—large or small—is designed with safety as the top priority. Our commitment to safety starts with detailed project planning and is reinforced by a well-trained, safety-conscious workforce. We prioritize not just safe practices but a culture of safety, driven by our Behavioral-Based Safety Program (BBS), which empowers employees to embed safety into everything we do.

BEHAVIOR-BASED SAFETY

Our BBS program promotes safety excellence by focusing on proactive safety responses and personal accountability. Recognizing that most accidents stem from unsafe behavior, we emphasize the importance of following safety protocols, prioritizing safety over convenience, and coaching one another to maintain safe work habits. We ensure that safety is a shared responsibility across every team member through consistent observation and feedback.
TRAINING
We maintain a comprehensive safety training program to ensure our team is equipped with the knowledge needed for safe operations. From hands-on supervision for new hires to continuous training updates through tailgate meetings, literature, and specialized seminars, our staff stays informed on the best safety practices. Employees are encouraged to participate in developing safety protocols and offer suggestions for improvement.
SITE-SPECIFIC HEALTH & SAFETY PLANS

Every project is unique, so we develop site-specific health and safety plans before work begins. During our Pre-Job Meetings, we evaluate the project's risks and design tailored safety protocols that are reviewed daily in our Tailgate Meetings and weekly in Site Safety Meetings.

DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY

To ensure a safe work environment, Trans-Utility enforces a zero-tolerance policy regarding drugs and alcohol. This policy includes pre-employment, pre-access, post-incident, and return-to-work testing, safeguarding our workforce and worksite.
